Remember when I wrote a while back about diving into the pool of Defiant's armchair expert fans; of asking them to put their collective expertise to use by aiding our future storytellers. Well here is that call to arms. I believe that I have some of the most inteligent readers out their and I am calling on you all because I need your help. I am trying to figure out the most common, silly, strange, quirky and even sickest names that people have given to their dogs or even other pets.

This is research for a character that I am developing and he has a host of the strangest pets but I can only think up only a hand full of names at best and they seem a little to regular. So if you could drop on by the comment section and leave me a list, ask your family and friends too it might be funny to learn how these names came about.

It might be hard for many to believe but I am a fairly good illustrator. I have for the past year or so been creating character designs for gTodd's website Arena Combat.

The actual site is stocked full of blow by blow descriptions of knockdown dragged out superhero fights beetween some fully formed characters. Its a mix of the superhero genre and the WWF smackdown.

I just finished two scary Hillbilly characters, Cletus and Missy, who are part of the crazy Marsh family, who the guys at Arena created to torture their players with.

Do You Know... is the section where we give all those arm chair experts a chance to pipe in and answer questions posted by Defiant in its ever spanning quest to find the answers.

One of the hardest task for new writers is doing the in depth research that it takes sometimes to make a story credible. Here at Do you know... we ask our wide audience to pull from their life experiences the answers we need, lives no doubt rich in depth and scope. Our audience some of which I know are masters in their crafts, and those that are not masters themselves, for sure know them will rally to the cry of the defiant ones.

So if you have knowledge pent up inside of you just waiting to wriggle out like the face hugger in Alien, or you have a friend/family member who is actually a credible "know it all" we seriously need you. Stop or send them on by to check out the request of the day.
